Routine RV maintenance is HIGHLY recommended by all RV manufacturers, but how many people read their RV Owners Manuals? Most of the Owners Manuals have a routine maintenance checklist to help owners keep their RVs in good working condition and to help prevent component failure.
For a plethora of reasons, RV owners struggle with proper maintenance and often suffer minor, and in some instances, major issues.
Bonnye and Karen are both Registered RV Technicians and able to perform the routine maintenance recommended by all RV manufacturers.
Please see our list of General Maintenance Services under the Documents tab.

Here at We R BonnKars we understand that choosing an RV can be very confusing and time-consuming. During a Pre-Purchase Consultation we go with the prospective buyer to look at RV's with a trained eye and assist with finding the RV that best suits their lifestyle, needs, and budget. It includes an initial phone conversation to discuss basic information and create a plan to help you find the RV of your dreams. On the day of the consultation, you will have two NRVIA certified inspectors accompany you to look at specific RVs. We will help you find the right class whether that is a motorized class A, B, or C or a towable travel trailer or 5th wheel. We will help you find the floor plan that best suits your needs for the inside living area but also the outside storage and check off as many of your "must have" boxes as possible. Quality is a problem across the entire RV industry, from the $20,000 to the $500,000 units, but we look at all RVs through the lens of trained RV inspectors.
You've had your Pre-Purchase Consultation and found your dream RV. You had a third party RV inspection by We R BonnKars and made an informed purchase. Now, how can you possibly know how to operate all of the different systems in your new-to-you RV? The previous owner showed you, but you were so excited and it was a lot to take in. Let us help you!
Our personalized walk through includes us showing you step by step how to operate your RV systems, safety practices and important routine maintenance. RV maintenance is vitally important in keeping your unit working properly, for example, maintenance on the seals, air conditioner and waste tank cleanout.
Your waste tanks are your black and gray tanks. In most RVs the black tank only collects what is from the toilet while the sinks and shower drain into the gray tank. The black tank is considered to be the "dirtiest" of the two but this is not always the case. The gray tank is often not maintained as meticulously as the black and this can cause foul odors as the result of mold growth. The gray tank receives not only water but the soap, food particles, grease, skin cells, and hair that get washed down the drain. The moisture, debris, and dark environment are the perfect recipe for mold growth in the gray tank. Most RVers clean, flush, and treat their black tanks but never actually treat or flush their gray tanks. Even with proper black tank care, struvite will build up on the bottom and sides of the black tank causing inaccurate sensor readings and blockages. Struvite is a crystal that forms from the magnesium, ammonia, and phosphates in body waste and is difficult to remove even with basic regular maintenance. We perform a deep cleaning of the tanks using a special hydro-jet nozzle to "pressure wash" the inside of the black and gray tanks.
This will remedy most odors and tanks sensor issues. The waste tank cleanout should be performed by a trained professional annually.
